Manitoulin Transport’s Customer Appreciation BBQ

I had a great time live on location at Manitoulin Transport’s Customer Appreciation BBQ on August 13th!

The turn out was FANTASTIC as people from all over Fort Frances came out to help the folks at Manitoulin celebrate our local community.

Terminal Manager Michelle Johnson and the rest of the staff served up burgers, hot dogs, chips and cold drinks for just 2 bucks a meal!…Good thing I had a toonie in my pocket.

There was even a chance to put you name in to win some awesome door prizes!

Robert Eskens is the VP of Sales for Western Canada at Manitoulin and he came down for the event to help Michelle present some monetary donations to some important causes in our area.

The I Am Awesome Girls Retreat, the OPP Youth Foundation, the Special Olympics and the Voyageur Lions all benefited from Manitoulin’s generosity and this wonderful day!

Michelle and Robert also told me that if there was any food left over they were going to donate it to the Fort Frances Family Centre!

When I wasn’t on the air, I got the chance to chat with some of our listeners as well. That’s always one of the best parts about these live remotes…Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
