Manitoban arrested for shoplifting

Ontario Provincial Police in Fort Frances are crediting a vigilant employee at a Kings Highway business for spotting a shoplifter.

Officers were called to the business around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after the accused, a 45 year old Bowsman Manitoba man, was seen by the employee pocketing merchandise before leaving the store without paying.

Police were able to locate the man and take him into custody.

He’s been charged with:

• Possession Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

The man appeared in court Tuesday.
