Maddie Lowe of the Rainy River Voyageur’s women’s basketball team is the MCAC North Division’s basketball athlete of the week.
Lowe racked up three double-doubles while scoring 53 points, to combine with 41 rebounds, 11 steals and six assists.
In high school basketball, Lola Valenzuela scored 19 in leading the International Falls Broncos varsity girls team to a 73-38 win over Littlefork-Big Falls.
On the ice, the Broncos girls’ team fell 7-0 to Hibbing-Chisholm.
Ben Doom of St. Cloud, Minnesota, is the first finisher of the Arrowhead 150.
He biked his way to Tower in just over 15 hours.
