Local Sports Report for Thursday, November 10

Stratton’s Trevor Bonot and his Northern Ontario rink ended a four-game win streak at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, after a 7-5 loss to Jamie Koe of the Northwest Territories.

They have games against Quebec and British Columbia today.

 

Rainy River District High School teams have been ousted from the NorWOSSA A playoffs in Kenora.

The Rainy River Owls junior girls’ basketball team fell to the Red Lake Rams in the semi-final game 42-19.

The Owls senior team lost 34-26 to the Rams in their semi.

Northern Lakes dropped a five-game match to the Rams in the senior boys’ volleyball semi-final.
