One of the first hockey tournaments in Fort Frances for this season takes place this weekend.
It is the Fort Frances Minor Hockey U13 tournament, featuring its three house league teams, the Boston Pizza Royal, the Fort Frances Firemen and the Times Tigers.
Games get underway at the Memorial Sports Centre this Friday.
There is also a shoot-to-win contest, with someone earning the chance to win 5-thousand dollars.
High school court sports for Rainy River District schools resume today.
The Fort Frances Muskies boys’ volleyball and girls’ basketball teams will play in Dryden.
Northern Lakes teams head to Red Lake.
