Rainy River Voyageurs women’s hockey last 4-1 yesterday to Assiniboine College from Portage La Praire.
Voyageurs also dropped a 7-2 game to the visiting Cougars Saturday night.
The Voyageurs women’s basketball team defeated Central Lakes yesterday 88-70.

The men split games, losing their first conference game of the season to Central Lakes 107-74.

A first-time runner and a pair of Fort Frances women were winners at the Freeze Yer Gizzard Blizzard runs on Saturday.
Aiden Winn of Red Wing, Minnesota, finished first in both the 5K and 10K events, in his first visit to the International Falls event.
Hailey Beaudry of Fort Frances was the first woman to finish the 10K, finishing 7th overall.
Priscilla Miller of Fort Frances won the women’s 5K for a third straight year.
She was also the 6th fastest among the 138 runners taking part.
Greta Fedoruk, also of Fort Frances was second in the women’s 5K.
Kim Beaudry’s Fort Frances rink missed out on a chance to return to the Canadian senior women’s championship after an 8-6 loss Saturday to Kenora’s Stacey Szajewski at the Northern Ontario championship at Sturgeon Falls.
Beaudry’s rink was leading 6-4 heading into the final end.
At Falls High School over the weekend, the Broncos boys hockey team lost 3-1 Saturday to Red Lake Falls.
Friday, they lost 7-2 Duluth Denfeld.
The boys swim and diving team finished fifth overall at the Section 6A True Team meet in Hibbing on Saturday.
Fort Frances Lakers had both their weekend games postponed because of weather.
