Local ‘Cons’ Help Lions Club

A number of “cons” help the Voyageur Lions Club raise about 41-hundred dollars through its Jail or Bail.

It was held during the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce’s Business Expo.

About a dozen convicts took part with Alex Cone from the Rainy River Cannabis Collective raising the most bail at $1,040.

Fort Frances Mayor June Caul and Fort Frances Fire Chief Tyler Moffitt were also jailed and raised money for the cause.

Some of the funds raised will go towards the purchase of a new mammography unit for Riverside Health Care.
