Paper bags will soon be a thing of the past when you check out at the LCBO.
The Liquor Control Board says it will be phasing out the used of paper bags for customers.
The agency says that will eliminate about 135 million bags or approximately 188,000 trees.
Customers are instead encouraged to bring their own reusable bag, or ask for a box or an 8 pack carrier at no charge.
Over the coming months, we’re phasing out paper bags from our retail stores and LCBO Convenience Outlets as part of our commitment to minimize our impact on the #environment and create a more #sustainable Ontario: https://t.co/w6JNSEt6qL #SpiritofSustainability #Earthmonth
