Latest COVID-19 Numbers

Another case of COVID-19 in the Kenora area.

The Northwestern Health Unit says follow-up with the person involved and their contacts has started.

There are now eleven active cases in the Health Unit’s catchment area, eight in the Kenora region alone.

A recent case that was active in the Rainy River district is now resolved.

There are another eleven cases within the Thunder Bay district.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says there are now 99 active cases there, which is down one from yesterday.

All of the new cases are self-isolating, and none are in hospital.

Most of the new cases caught the virus by being in close contact with others who had the virus.

Minnesota’s Koochiching County is reporting five new cases of COVID-19, with two more probable cases.
