Koochiching County Has A COVID-free Weekend

Northwestern Health Unit reported ten new cases of COVID-19 yesterday.

Six were in the Kenora area with the other four in the Sioux Lookout region.

There are 88 cases listed as active by the Health Unit. Seven of them are in the Rainy River district.

The Thunder Bay District remains with over 400 active cases after another forty more infections yesterday.

Looking at the province, a data catch-up is blamed for at least some of 1,700 new cases.

Ontario says an unknown number of those cases are from previous days and only reported Sunday.

No new cases of COVID-19 reported in Minnesota’s Koochiching County on the weekend.

More than 3-thousand people in the County have now received at least one dose of a vaccine. That’s almost a quarter of its entire population.

More than 17-hundred have received the required two doses.
