Kiwanis Easter Egg-Stravaganza success despite snowy weather

It was a VERY snowy Saturday of the Easter long weekend, but Old Man Winter didn’t dampen the spirits of the Kiwanis Club of Fort Frances. Their members bundled up and headed out to Rainy Lake Square to spread a little joy for children and families within our community to help celebrate the holiday.

We are truly lucky to have such a wonderful service club who are passionate about bringing smiles to faces all around town, no matter what Mother Nature may have in store.

It was a FANTASTIC turnout! Roughly 230 kids put on their heavy-duty winter gear and travelled to several local businesses who were offering up treats as a part of the fun. Each child was given a map with a list of spots to visit. Not only did they get a treat, but they also got their map stamped. After checking off ever place, the little ones then returned their map to the Kiwanis Club. Each child’s name was then entered into a draw to win one of the INCREDIBLE prizes that were so generously donated by local businesses, groups, organizations and individuals!
