Kenora Area Under A Flood Watch

A flood watch has been put in place for the Kenora District.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, the rainfall on Wednesday could amount to 15 – 35 mm.

That’s on top of the over 100 mm that has fallen since Sunday and already caused some road closures.

The Ministry says more rain is expected Thursday.

It’s issued an advisory to exercise caution when around lakes, streams, access roads and bridges.

The watch went into place Tuesday night and is expected to remain until Friday.
