It’s Going To Be Hot, Hot, Hot

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the Rainy River district as the first heat event of the year expected for today and Saturday.

A warm air mass is moving in from the United States.

Daytime temperatures are expected to be near 30 degrees Celsius both days

Cooler air is expected to arrive on Sunday.

To stay cool, it’s suggested you drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.

Check on older family, friends and neighbours and make sure they are cool and drinking water

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
