There were two more cases of COVID-19 reported on Wednesday in the Fort Frances area.
They are among the fourteen positive test results identified across the Northwestern Health Unit region.
Seven others were in the Kenora area, with the remaining listed identified in the Sioux Lookout health hub.
There are now a total of 75 active cases throughout the region.
Sixteen are in the Fort Frances area, three in the Emo area and five around the town of Rainy River.
A previous case in Atikokan is no longer listed as active.
The Kenora region has 36 active cases. The Sioux Lookout health hub has fourteen cases.
Over 30-thousand people living in the Kenora and Rainy River district have now received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine.
That’s about 48 per cent of all those 18 and older.
In northern Minnesota, Koochiching County recorded four new cases on Wednesday.
Lake of the Woods County had one new case.
Fifty-one per cent of all people aged 16 and older in Koochiching County have started vaccination programs.
Forty per cent have completed them.
