Government Wraps Up Budget Talks

The Ontario government has wrapped up its budget consultations.

Finance Minister Rod Phillips and his parliamentary assistant Stan Cho held consultation sessions in 26 different communities, hearing from over 5-thousand people and organizations over the past two months.

Phillips says three key themes emerged, a need to make life more affordable, continued investment in key services and ensuring that Ontario returns to a sound financial footing.

Phillips is expected to present a final budget sometime in late March.
