Fort Frances Opposes Library Cuts

Fort Frances town council is adding their voice to the opposition of the cuts to Ontario Library Services – North.

Council approved a resolution at their meeting Monday urging the provincial government to restore funding.

The resolution says the agency provides vital services to northern Ontario libraries and has helped leverage funding to find efficiencies and offer new programs.

It says the cuts will have now a direct impact on local libraries.
