A 41-year-old Fort Frances man has been charged in connection with a string of break-ins to cabins.
OPP say the break-ins occurred between May and November of last year in the Big Sawbill Lake Road and Red Gut Bay area on Rainy Lake.
The police investigation led to the arrest of Lee Craig Mosley, who is now facing several charges.
He was initially charged with the following offences:
- 1 count of careless storage of a firearm;
- 2 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm;
- 3 counts of possession of prohibited device or ammunition;
- 6 counts of possess firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order;
- 2 counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.00;
- 4 counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00;
- 1 count of assault;
- 1 count of possession of a controlled substance – heroin;
- 3 counts of failure to comply with release order; and
- 1 count of point firearm
Additional charges were laid after that.
- 2 counts of Fail to comply with release order;
- 3 counts of Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00;
- 1 count of Possession of Heroin;
- 2 counts of possession of prohibited device or ammunition;
- 1 count of possession of break-in tools; and
- 1 count of assault police officer.
He made a court appearance yesterday.
OPP say the case is still ongoing and are reaching out to the public for information about the break-ins.
