Fort Frances hospital declares COVID outbreak

The LaVerendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances has been hit by a COVID-19 outbreak.

It’s in the first-floor in-patient unit.

Because of this, there are some visitor restrictions in place.

That includes, no more than two people at one time for each patient, and they must be wearing a mask.

Staff may also ask for additional PPE depending on the situation.

Anyone who wants to visit is also ask to screen for any possible symptoms.

Riverside Health Care says at this time there are no restrictions on hospital services.
