Fort Frances Council Gives Support to Mill Property Plans

Conceptual plans for the former Fort Frances mill properties have town council’s blessing.

A resolution passed at Monday’s council meeting is intended to help the property owners seek out funding sources.

The proposal for the former mill site was presented to town council in June.

It breaks the property into five distinct precincts.

A market, an extension of Front Street and the waterfront paths, industrial uses and a reworking entrance and exit at the border are among the proposals put forward.
