The COVID-19 outbreak in two districts continues.
The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting three new positive cases in the Kenora region and two new cases in the Rainy River region.
Health officials are now following up with the individuals and their known contacts and anyone identified will be notified directly.
For reasons of privacy, the health unit minimizes sharing the information about the location of COVID-19 test results.
Officials recommend that everyone assume COVID-19 is in their community and practise preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces and when physical distancing is a challenge, good hand hygiene, and not touching their face.
Anyone who has symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate and get tested.
