Five charged following traffic stop

Five people will appear in a Fort Frances courtroom in January

They were arrested after OPP stopped a vehicle near Couchiching First Nation observed speeding on Highway 11.

After making the stop, officers found an undisclosed amount of cocaine.

A 30-year-old man from Fort Frances, a 37-year-old man from Miscampbell township, a 39-year-old woman from Couchiching First Nation, a 26-year-old man from Scarborough and a 41-year-old man from Sudbury were arrested and charged with drug possession.

The 30-year-old was also arrested for outstanding warrants.

All five have since been released.
