Firearm Charges Laid In Kenora

A 35-year-old Kenora man faces multiple weapons charges following an investigation by Provincial Police.

OPP says Christopher Paquette was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the north end of Kenora.

Charges against Paquette include:

-Three counts of failing to comply with a release order-other than to attend court
-Two counts of possession for the purpose of weapons trafficking
-Two counts of careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
-Two counts of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
-Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

The OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit and the Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau led the investigation.
