Fire Hazard Easing

Cooler temperatures have lowered the forest fire hazard in much of northwestern Ontario to low.

It’s high to extreme in part of the Red Lake and Kenora area where most of the recent forest fire activity has been of late.

There are six active fires including a 68-hundred hectare blaze burning northeast of Trout Lake listed as not under control.

Two blazes that were threatening Pikangikum and Pickle Lake are being held and posing no further problems.
