Fighting Walleye begin Centennial Cup on Friday

The Centennial Cup, the championship for junior hockey teams in Canada, starts tomorrow (Thursday) in Calgary.

The Kam River Fighting Walleye are the SIJHL representatives and play their first game on Friday at noon against the Trenton Golden Hawks.

In all, they’ll play four round robin games, with the top four teams meeting in the semi-finals next Friday.

The Walleye beat the Dryden GM Ice dogs to advance to the nationals.
