Extra Cash For Senior Centres In Region

Three seniors centres in the Rainy River district are receiving provincial funding.

It’s part of a $14-million commitment the Ford government announced in last April’s budget to support centre’s operations..

The Fort Frances Seniors Centre will receive over $52-thousand dollars.

The Rainy River Senior Activity Depot Drop-in Centre is getting over $16-thousand.

The Stratton Seniors Friendship Centre is eying over $15-thousand.

Northern and Mines Minister Greg Rickford made the announcement while visiting a senior’s centre in Kenora which also benefitted.
