Emily Watson is a candidate seeking to become a reeve in the township of LaVallee.

Here are the answers to the questions we asked.

Why are you running for office?

I was born and raised in the Municipality of LaVallee and have lived most of my adult life here as well. My previous experience as both a Councillor and Reeve in this Municipality provide me with the skills and abilities to be a capable and willing representative.

What are the main issues do you see your community facing over the next four years?

Aging infrastructure such as roads, bridges, buildings and equipment.

How would you tackle those issues?

By ensuring that our Municipality is adequately represented at the various government funding tables.

What qualities or qualifications can you bring to the position?

Previous experience as a Councillor and Reeve. I have also been involved in agriculture, forestry, education and health care. Each of these areas, in some way, affects our municipal residents. I am prepared to work to make people want to live and work here in our municipality.
