The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting 8 new positive COVID-19 cases in the Rainy River region Saturday.
Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts has started and anyone who is identified will be notified directly.
The only active cases in the region are in Rainy River and the Kenora region at 22 apiece.
Ontario is reporting 3,443 cases today.
