The Rainy Lake Concert Series presented a local favourite on the outdoor stage as Dylan Ossachuk played Rainy Lake Square on August 15th.
It was two hours of awesome covers. Dylan has a KILLER voice and he’s pretty handy with a guitar as well!
He played songs from various eras and genres while impressing those in attendance throughout the entire evening.
Dylan has a lot of support surrounding him and his talent here in The Borderland. People have literally watched him grow up while coming into his own and while honing his musical skills.
I personally have gotten to appreciate just how special Dylan is through by seeing him perform at community events that I’ve been involved with like Relay For Life and The Voyageur Loins Club Jail or Bail.
As a 6 time emcee for Quest For The Best, I’ve seen Dylan get close to winning it all, be disappointed that he didn’t finish first and then come back again to earn the top spot the very next year. I know how much winning Quest meant to him in 2018.
With all these things considered, Dylan’s chance to give a free concert in Rainy Lake Square, which was awarded thanks to a fan vote, feels like the culmination of a young man’s musical journey and an entire town cheering him on along the way.
