Creating Internship Opportunities In Fort Frances Area

The Ontario government is providing almost 1 million dollars through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund for 31 job placement opportunities in Kenora-Rainy River.

The goal is to strengthen and develop a local workforce.

Minister of Northern Development Greg Rickford says the government is focused on helping local residents find new opportunities to gain hands-on experience to build careers right here at home.

Rickford adds, “Our investment helps connect businesses to local, talented young people and job seekers, securing highly skilled, good-paying jobs.”

M.L. Caron Electric Limited in Fort Frances is receiving $51,428 to hire two Electrician Apprentice Interns to learn the fundamentals of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installation.
