The Northwestern Health Unit has updated its COVID-19 numbers.
Officials are reporting two new cases in the Dryden/Red Lake region and one in the Kenora area.
One of the positive cases impacts a public school in Dryden.
Classes still resume for those not identified as close contacts.
There are no active cases within the Rainy River district.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting 21 new cases.
The Health Unit says a majority of them are associated with an outbreak or exposure at a pickleball event last week.
There are currently 56 active cases within that district.
In Minnesota, the state’s health department reports sixteen new cases in Koochiching County, which includes International Falls.
That’s the largest, one-day report since the start of the pandemic.
As many as 70 cases are believed to be active.
In nearby Lake of the Woods County, which includes Baudette, there were two new cases reported yesterday.
