62 per cent of college faculty say no to a contract offer from the College Employer Council (CEC).
The Ontario Public Sector Employees Union (OPSEU) reported Friday that the ballots were cast in a forced offer vote that was supervised by the Ministry of Labour.
The employer is allowed to ask the province to conduct a one-time forced vote on their latest offer.
Talks broke off between the two sides in November 2021.
OPSEU Local 731 represents over 150 full-time employees of Confederation College and the Ministry of Education in Thunder Bay, and other communities across Northwestern Ontario.
