The Borderland region is in the midst of a February cold snap.
We can expect extreme wind chills into the minus 40s this morning and tonight, with our daytime temperature not getting much warmer.
That can lead to frostbite of the skin in a matter of minutes.
Environment Canada expects the cold to stay with us until early next week.
