Chase Ends On Sioux Lookout Airport

Police have arrested a 34 year old Winnipeg woman following a chase that ended on the runway of the Sioux Lookout Airport.

Provincial Police says the incident started Sunday at around noon when officers were dispatched to a report of a possible impaired driver on Highway 642 about 10 kilometers east of Sioux Lookout.

Police found the vehicle speeding along the highway while garbage was being thrown out the window.

OPP say when they turned on their lights and sirens and tried to stop the vehicle, the driver still continued on driving through the downtown area.

The vehicle then through an access gate to the Airport and drove up the taxiway where the driver exited the vehicle while it was still moving.

The vehicle ended up in an open field between the runway and the airport.

34 year old Tiffany Chandell Huebert now faces a long list of charges including theft of motor vehicle and dangerous operation causing bodily harm.

She made her first court appearance yesterday.
