Catholic Teachers Support Strike Action

Ontario’s English Catholic Teachers have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a strike.

Just over 97 per cent supported the action to back contract demands.

Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association President Liz Stuart says it’s a loud and clear message to the Ford government that Catholic teachers will not accept any agreement that would be detrimental to learning and working conditions in schools.

Despite the vote, there are no immediate plans to take the action allowing for negotiations at the table to continue.
