Contract talks between the province and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association have broken down.
They lasted just half a day before the mediator adjourned the discussions.
OECTA president Liz Stuart says the government’s standing firm on its position she says includes “reckless, unpopular cuts.”
The union says it will now move forward with job action starting Monday.
Catholic teachers won’t be completing report cards, participating in EQAO-related activities, and attending or participating in Ministry of Education initiatives among other things.
