Bonus Program Extended

A pilot program aimed at attracting more school bus drivers is being extended for another year.

The program offers retention bonuses of up to two thousand dollars to drive.

It’s intended to reduce driver turnover and make busing services more reliable.

Meantime, the government is also reviewing the funding school boards now receive for busing with the aim of making it more efficient and accountable.
