Bogus Toonies spotted in Ontario

You might want to take a closer look at the change in your pocket.

Police in Ontario have discovered fake Toonies.

Instead of a polar bear, the bogus coins have a walrus on one side and an inaccurate portrait of Queen Elizabeth on the other.

They also have a manufacture date of 1990 which is six years before the Toonie originally rolled out.

Maybe the biggest clue these two-dollar coins are fake?

It says “Z Dollard” instead of 2 dollars on the coin.

So far, the coins haven’t been spotted anywhere else in Canada.
