Back-to-Work Legislation Expected

Enough is enough.

That reaction from Education Minister Stephen Lecce after the union representing 55-thousand custodians, early childhood educators, office staff, school librarians and others announced plans for a provincewide walkout on Friday if no deal is reached in contract talks this week.

In an online post, Lecce states legislation will be introduced at Queen’s Park today that ensures students remain in class amidst the contract dispute.

“Kids will be in school. Enough is enough,” Lecce writes.

He adds a more generous offer has also been presented.

Mediated talks are scheduled to resume on Tuesday.
