Australian Firm Becomes Co-Owner Of H2O Power

An Australian investment firm is now a part owner of the company which operates hydro dams in Fort Frances and Kenora.

TCorp says it’s completed a deal with H2O Power that sees its gaining 49 per cent interest in the power company.

H20 Power operates eight hydro-electric generating stations, three control dams and 130 kilometres of transmission line across northern Ontario.

In a joint release, H20 Power’s president Jim Gartshore says “the existing team which formed H2O in 2007 will continue to operate, maintain and manage the facilities.”
