It could be next year before the construction of an 18-unit apartment complex on Scott Street in Fort Frances will take place.
Newfort Development has proposed the project for the land where the former Dough and Deli stood.
The original building was razed last summer.,
A report on the project to the town’s Planning and Development Committee identified increased construction costs and border restrictions as reasons to why the project hasn’t proceeded further,
It notes constructions costs have increased 25 per cent over the last year.
Newfort is now to a 2022 start.
