A relative newcomer to the Rainy River district is this year’s grand prize winner of the Riverside Foundation for Health Care Canada Day Cash Lottery.
Belen McMillan, of Devlin, had the winning ticket for the $10-thousand prize.
McMillan moved to the district from Kenora last year and plans to use the money either on kitchen renovations or to invest it on their garlic farm.
Other prize winners were Michelle Elias of Fort Frances taking home $2-thousand.
Lori Caron also from Fort Frances won one-thousand dollars.
Lori McKay, Daniel Rogoza, John Bradley and Gemma Lamenato were all 500-dollar winners.
