**UPDATED**
Highway 11 has been reopened following a collision late Thursday afternoon.
However, the highway will be reduced to alternating lanes of traffic near the entrance to Lake Nipigon Provincial Park.
No further details on the collision which Ontario Provincial Police have called “serious” have been released.

ORIGINAL STORY
A motor vehicle collision has closed down Highway 11 near Beardmore.
The incident happened just before 5 p.m., about 13 kilometers south of the community.
OPP are calling it serious.
No other details have been provided but the highway remains closed in both directions between Nipigon and Beardmore as emergency crews attend the scene.
OPP say additional media updates will be provided as they become available.
