A case of COVID-19 has been confirmed impacting a school in Emo.
The Rainy River District School Board reports it is a student who attends Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program.
One classroom has been temporarily closed as a result.
The school board is currently working with the Northwestern Health Unit on monitoring and next steps.
It’s the first case of the virus linked to an area school since they reopening to in-class learning last Thursday.
