The Salvation Army in Fort Frances is back with another giveaway.
They are giving away bags continuing a variety of activities and food items.
Auxiliary-Captain Arthur Heathcote says it will take place at their Scott Street location on Friday, April 9th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There’s no registration involved. It’s just first-come/first-served. We got 75 bags in total stuffed with activities and nutritional items for kids for the spring break,” says Heathcote.
Heathcote says the Kiwanis Club of Fort Frances is helping with the activities.
“It’s so helpful. The Kiwanis Club was able to provide all of the activities that are going in the bag. We have the food in the bag.”
The event is open to any child five and older. Because of the pandemic, public health guidelines must be followed, including keeping a safe distance from others went lining up.
The Salvation Army held similar giveaways last year, which were well received.
