Opposition Seeks Apology From Premier

The opposition is looking for an apology from Doug Ford.

It comes amidst negotiations on new contracts with teachers’ unions and threats of strike action.

NDP critic Sara Singh claims the Premier spent the past several months picking a fight with the unions they’re trying to get a deal with.

“How can the Ford government claim to be looking for solutions with our teachers when the Premier has made it clear that he is desperate to pick a fight with them?” says Singh.

The Premier deflected questions to his Education Minister Stephen Lecce who reiterated his offered to take the negotiations to mediation.
