The Town of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls has something new to celebrate Remembrance Day.
A light armoured vehicle has been set up in a park-like setting in Sioux Narrows.
Mayor Norbert Dufresne says it’s a fitting tribute.
“We had an opportunity to pick up an armoured fighting vehicle, a LAV, Light Armoured Vehicle as a monument,” says Dufresne. “Some citizens of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls approached the council and said ‘are you willing to do support it?’ and of course we said yes.”
The development of the site started this year. A new cenotaph was unveiled earlier this year.
