Fort Frances Man Killed Near Thunder Bay

Tragedy on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Thunder Bay with the death of a Fort Frances man.

OPP say 39-year-old Joel Walton was struck by a transport as he was walking along Highway 11/17 just after 5 a.m. yesterday.

It occurred in an area near Fraser Road.

The accident forced the closure of the Trans-Canada for six hours.

The investigation is continuing.
