Youth Wanted For A Charlie Brown Christmas

Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang are coming to Fort Frances.

Resident Trevor Barker is planning to stage a local performance of the classic A Charlie Brown Christmas later in November.

Barker says he’s now reaching out for youngsters interested in one of many roles available.

“I’m looking for ages 8 to 12 and I’m hoping that the cast of Charlie Brown will just appear to me once they enter the room,” says Barker.

You need to email Trevor_Barker@live.com by the end of the day if your child may be interested.

Auditions will be held September 20 with rehearsals to take place through October and up to the one-night show at the end of November.

He says a lot of girls have already expressed interest and is hoping more boys will step forward. He’s not worried about one’s talent level.

“I would love to see anyone come out. If you have any interest in Charlie Brown or in performing at all I would love to see you, come in.”

Barker does has theatre experience with the play, serving as a musical director during a similar staging while living in Toronto.

A Charlie Brown Christmas first appeared on television in December 1965 and continues to be a part of regular Christmastime programming today.
