Application For New Cannabis Store Now Accepted

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is now accepting applications for the next 50 Cannabis stores.

No licences, which are to be selected through a lottery, will be for communities in the Rainy River district.

Licences will be issued for stores in Kenora and Thunder Bay.

However, there will be 8 additional licenses granted to First Nation communities on a first-come/first-served basis.

The application filing closes this Friday at 7 p.m. Central.

The new stores are expected to open in October.
