Warnings about a scam from the Canada Border Services Agency.
The Agency reports some members of the public are receiving emails, text messages or telephone calls from people claiming to be with Border Services and asking for personal information such as Social Insurances Numbers.
The reasons why vary and change from each contact the scammers make.
The Agency says it never makes such requests and if you receive such communication to report it to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
